I have bought many properties over the years and I can honestly say, I have never received the level of customer care and service that you provided…”

About Our Team

Peggy Walkush is proud to be recognized by San Diego Magazine as a “2009 Five Star: Best In Client Satisfaction” real estate agent, an honor enjoyed by less than 3% of agents in San Diego.   Peggy was selected based on an extensive survey of recent San Diego homebuyers.

The Peggy Walkush Team is all about delivering exceptional customer service.

We help our clients buy and sell homes and investment properties throughout San Diego County. We don’t limit ourselves to just one area because our clients come from referrals from past clients and friends.

There are three important factors that distinguish us from other real estate agents:

First, our clients know they can trust us because of our reputation in the community. Trust is such a huge issue because your Realtor is representing you throughout the purchase or sale process and you must trust that they are representing you accurately to the other side - even when you aren’t there to hear the conversations. You must also trust that they are truly looking out for your best interests even when it means walking away from a deal and their commission.

Second, we are patient with our clients. Some people make decisions quickly and others take more time. We let our clients decide the timeline – we don’t pressure them to make an offer or lower the price of their home. We simply give them the facts and our opinion based on our experience in the market, but let them decide when the time is right for them.

Third, we are consummate professionals. Peggy’s previous experience as an executive for a Fortune 500 company taught her how to negotiate hard, pay attention to details, and follow through on commitments.  We recognize that a home sale or purchase is one of the largest financial decisions for our clients and so we take great care and pay attention to every detail throughout the process.

About Peggy Walkush  (at left in the photo)

I am a Realtor who has long been fascinated with all aspects of real estate. I bought my first condo in my early 20s with down payment help from my parents and have traded up several times since. I love the financial aspects of home ownership and I love to remodel homes.

I live in North Park with my partner of 12 years, three adorable doggies and an escape artist cat. Originally from a small town near Pittsburgh, PA, I made the move to San Diego in 1985. Both of my parents are the children of immigrants and all they wanted in life was to provide their children with a better life than they had. They worked hard to send all four of us to college. I have deep gratitude for the life my parents gave me and I try to honor them every day by being the best person I can be.

Community involvement is a subject I am passionate about. I believe we all have an obligation to make the world a better place for others.  I am a five-year breast cancer survivor and major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk each year. In addition, I helped found the BCAUSE breast cancer fund at the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation and support many other LGBT causes.

I am passionately committed to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that my clients are so thrilled with their experience working with our team that they remain in our lives for many years to come and refer their friends our way.

About Monique LeBlanc (at right in the photo)

I was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and am very proud of my Cajun heritage. With hospitality, family and great food being the core of the South, I was instilled with the belief that there is no other way to be but a good, honest person. After deciding to move to San Diego for a few years, I packed up my car and drove to my new home a city I had never even visited. I soon fell in love with the weather and beach and decided to stay and restart my life and career here. I have lived in Pacific Beach for 6 years and love every aspect of it.

I have found many similarities between my background in restaurant management and real estate. First, there are many balls to keep in the air in both businesses and so juggling is an essential skill. I enjoy managing the many aspects of the home purchase and sale process and keeping the client well informed along the way. Relationships are key to many businesses and certainly in real estate. Many people don’t realize how important it is to select an agent who is able to work well with their agent counterpart on the other side of the transaction. It is the agents who help to resolve client differences and so being able to be friendly, yet firm with the agent on the other side of the transaction can solve seemingly insurmountable problems.

As we have represented buyers and sellers in short sales, bank owned transactions and the occasional “plain vanilla” transaction, we have made communications and customer service our hallmarks.   That has earned us many referrals from happy clients – to whom we attribute our success.
