Under this tab, you can view available historic homes in the communities of Hillcrest, Mission Hills, Banker's Hill, North Park, South Park, Kensington, University Heights and Normal Heights. Historic homes are those that were built at the beginning of the 20th century in the wonderful communities that surround Balboa Park.
Many of the homes built during this era have tremendous character. This includes Spanish stlye homes with barrel ceilings, tile roofs, mahogany built-ins, gumwood trim, elegant picture windows and some with famous Batchelder tiled fireplaces. And there are craftsman style homes with their gabled roofs, exposed beams, wood shingles and expansive front porches.
